At Guarding Specialist we design, manufacture and install mechanical and electrical machine guarding systems. We offer a variety of guarding solutions from the simplistic safety fence to complex integrated solutions. Our guards are made from a variety of materials such as Steel, Stainless steel, Aluminum and Polycarbonate. Materials are selected to best meet the final objective.
As part of your companies WH&S obligations you are required to constantly review your processes and systems to identify potential hazards and implement control measures to reduce the possibility of harm. The hazards identified should be eliminated by the use of a designed or engineered safety solution; if this is not possible then the use of hard control systems, such as machine safety guarding is necessary to separate personnel from with less impact on production.
Correctly guarding a machine is a specialised skill and requires knowledge of how to apply the relevant Australian Standards AS4024-1 and Codes of Practice.
